not to panic anyone about the relentless passage of time, but: i am continuing my Quest to assemble a lulav from US sources. i have no problem with the etrog, willow, or myrtle, but the palm spear has thwarted me every year. so, before this place shuts down: does anyone know where i could acquire a closed palm frond/palm spear not from the State of Israel? it seems like this must be possible — there are lots of palm trees in Florida and California! — and yet so far i have bupkis. anyone have any leads?
