Battle - Royale (When this enters the battlefield, put X Ring counters on it, where X is one less than the number of players. When this has no Ring counters, transform it and put it under the control of the player with no Ring counters. When this leaves the battlefield, all players lose their Ring counters. Any player may defend this; if it's defeated, exile it.)
When any player loses life, if they have not taken a Ring counter from Magic's Just A Videogame Now, they take one.

I know it doesn't work in real life (what happens if players lose life simultaneously but there aren't enough counters left for them? what about proliferate? etc.) but I'm thinking about battles.
Curiously I've also been listening to Battles the last couple days.
