the perfect day to buy my new video game, dream slayer!
i also have a collection full of things i like that you can buy. here's some highlights:
cook, serve, delicious 3?!
this is a sort of... high speed arcade hotkey memorization game?? it can scratch the same brain itch as a typing game but it's not a typing game. in this game you play as a chef and you must fulfill orders by pushing the right keyboard shortcuts in sequence. it sound simple and it is anything but.
fortune-499
this is a cute little card-based rpg about a fortune teller working in a magical corporate office. it's very funny and the art is great.
golf on mars
the sequel to the greatest mobile game of all time, and it's on itch!
high hell
terri vellman (disc room, heavy bullets) made a high speed wacky first-person shooter some time ago. it's fun!
starseed pilgrim
for ages this game was held up in certain circles as one of the all time greats, a game you absolutely must experience for yourself. i get the sense that in the many years since its release, new players haven't really reached out to experience it. it is a game about experimentation and gradual mastery of a very strange toolset. it must be played to be understood.
thirty flights of loving
the game that proves that brendon chung is the only game developer besides hideo kojima who actually understands movies. playing this will make every single "cinematic" AAA title look like a complete embarrassment in comparison, and it's a twenty minute long comedy game made as a backer reward for the idle thumbs kickstarter.
