i am personally responsible for the following horrible things here:
yep! there was an observatory in australia that observed about a dozen signals that looked like fast radio bursts but were omnidirectional; they turned out to be the magnetron in the observatory microwave chirping downward as it abruptly shut off in the middle of a cycle.
Being a radio astronomer must suck so bad, can't bring your phone with you to look at the big dish? What's the point, just do it all on your computer
