in no particular order:
- Moonlight Pulse: metroidvania. has the same vibes of a webcomic from 10 years ago
- Radio the Universe: not sure if i enjoy the combat yet, but it has both impeccable vibes and sound design
- Interior Worlds: photography game, yet another demo with extremely good vibes. kinda wish there was some sort of narrative connective tissue like their past game to hook me in
unfortunately the game i was looking forward to try the most was the one i liked the least. i found encounters too tedious because it seems like the most efficient way to play is to keep stalling until you get a good dice roll
again, in no order in particular:
- Teabat: extremely pretty and good vibes. there's something fundamentally fun about being a little guy with a double jump collecting things.
- WitchSpring R: likely my favorite demo. hits a lot of things i like on atelier games but without being nearly as time consuming.
- VIVIDLOPE: another game where you are a little guy. captures y2k vibes and puts me in the same mind state as games like mr.driller, panel de pon and tetris grand master without sharing any of the gameplay mechanics as them.
