jekyll still gets the job done. sure, I could have used something hip like gatsby or astro, but I already use react in my day job. do you really think I need more of that pain in my life?

for now this is largely going to be a spot for me to give a more permanent home to some of the writing I've done here. while I already have half a dozen other vanity sites for other purposes, it's been a while since I've had one as a true personal space, so I'm not sure exactly what I'll plant here. maybe it'll be hydrangeas. maybe it'll be rose bushes. maybe I'll actually get around to porting over posts, putting up an actual about page, and licensing everything under CC. at any rate, for as cool as any site like cohost can be, I think everyone should have their own electric garden. feel free to drop me into your feed reader, if you still know what those are!
