this fuckin sucks!!!!
Long story short - if a toenail comes off, make sure to stick the nail in place with a plaster or something so that it keeps the skin of the nail bed down low and lets the new nail grow straight

Aaaaaaaaaagh!!!
the doctor that took mine didn't do anything like this. is that why it grew back the way it did? uuuuuugh
I wish the doctor who treated me a few months ago when it was coming off could have told me about this, but no luck! Just unnecessary pain!
Sorry to hear you had a bad time as well...
yeah its mainly a metaphorical pain because I was really hoping this would be all over
there's a quick and simple procedure to fix it if it all goes wrong, but we're gonna try to salvage it with a less invasive approach for a while first
Oh, ooh, ow.
I am again thankful that my nails stayed on that time I Smashed Both My Big Toes Real Good.
(That is, they came off much later, after their replacements had arrived.)
Ouch, I'm glad your nails grew well afterwards at least
Mine was a loose for quite a long time, so that's what caused all this mess—I wish i would have known earlier... I had an ingrown toenail treated ages ago on the other foot, so I know how quickly that can be done, but I'd rather avoid the risk of it growing back later on (the other foot has been fine all this time though, thankfully)
