They're fairly common birds out here, but I love them. Even though they're "normal" there's still special, you just have to look closely. There's a pained metaphor about how I think that's a good way to approach photography, generally, but I feel like belaboring the point would give it too much credit. It's not that deep. I just think they're neat. And I like how taking up photography has asked me to look at the world a little more closely. It's nice.
