I feel like almost everyone knows the fact that bad eagles are usually dubbed over with red-tailed hawk noises in movies and TV. But nobody ever bothered to tell me who the first person to decide to do that was. I want to know what they were thinking. Was it a mistake? Just someone working in a foley office with a library of sounds, a shitass deadline, and some footage of a bald eagle? Or did they do it on purpose? A little patriotic white lie?
