I'm finally getting around to sorting through some pictures that I took during my trip from Montana. Well, I say finally, but really I had already gone through them. But I'm finally getting around to looking at them with the thought "oh hey maybe I could edit some of the ones I didn't think were stellar right off the bat. This is one of those. This is my first go at editing a black and white picture, but I like that it kind of forced me to re-think what I'm doing when I'm editing. I put a more aggressive crop on this than I think I ever have in a color photo.
A lot has been said by a lot more smarter people than I am about the benefits of limitations on creative work, but something I don't see talked a lot about is how those almost force you to make the hard decisions that sometimes you don't even realize are choices when you have a glut of options.
