oooh the next time I have the energy, I am going to make a silly little game

the game is going to be “reverse engineer Bézier curves”

you get presented with a curve and have to guess where the control points were to form it

would be fun to support different orders of Bézier curves, instead of the cubic that is natively supported in graphics systems

(I have some code to calculate cubic handles for quadratic curves somewhere, but that's not so interesting)

(no idea if this exists already)

the funny thing about quadratic curves is that, up to linear transformation, there is only one quadratic Bézier curve!

and up to linear transformation, there is only one parameter for the shape of cubic curves

I think you can find this observation at one of these references but I don't have the energy to actually find it:
