Last month, I set several goals for myself. The important ones were studying-related. At the beginning of the month I also had Smallbun's potty training, and to write up the handbook for what to do in a new codebase.
During the month, I finished out the solution set for Leetcode Medium and Hard Problems and brought 100 Medium and 30 Hard cards into review. Ren and I chose the cold weather crops, I read the backyard building book, I lined up a new job, moved my friend out of Seattle and then went back and helped him clean up his old apartment and also helped him set up in the wellhouse. Finally, I finished the gravel path.
Late in the month, I tried to cling to control because of the amount of stuff I still needed to do on my goal list, and rather than re-evaluate and deprioritize, I fell back on old bad habits and doubled, then tripled down. I think it was about the loss of control during the month along with the symbolic weight that algorithms questions have -- algorithms questions on interviews SCARE me. They scare me enough that when toxic signals started cropping up at my last job, I put up with it specifically out of fear of going through interviews again. I don't want to ever be put into that uncertain situation again.
