I'm so out of tune with most of the discourse that happens on this site that when a bunch of people in my feed start talking about the same thing it feels like I'm overhearing snatches from a heated debate three tables over from where I'm sitting in a coffee shop
yeah those things are ugly and stupid but Everybody seems really pissed about them all of a sudden lol. i feel like im missing some context
idk people just like getting Mad Online i guess lol. doesn't really seem like a big deal to me i think it's like someone makes a thing and older users being like, "back in my day we didn't have Thing! you don't need Thing! stop using Thing!"
and maybe there's truth to that but also it's just a post template like people make those all the time around here. the reason for it may be kinda silly but it's just Posting

im more just trying to figure out what the offending Post was to get everybody pissed off bc these things have existed for a while and i woke up today with everybody pissed about them. so obviously something happened. not trying to argue the validity of these things
Idk if anything happened necessarily other than certain people just noticed them and didn't like it lol
If anything my guess is that they're reacting to the creator's rationale that short posts look weird/out of place on cohost and that's why she made the cheet template thing:
