is it possible to change the Core Expansion control specifically in ac6? i just want to put it on circle because who the fuck in their right mind is gonna press L3 + Triangle and circle is totally superfluous as Boost, but it doesn’t seem possible in the custom controls. i can set literally every other button except the Core Expansion

i don't think you can do this in AC itself, but if you're playing on steam, you could use the steam controller layer to remap the button itself. that is, make it so the circle button is actually L3+Triangle.
i didn't do that though. i just swapped Boost and Assault Boost, so for me Core Expansion is Triangle+Circle, which i can live with.
the steam controller layer is super powerful. it's a legacy of the whole Steam Machine/Steam Controller thing, where they wanted to let people play games with MKB controls on the couch with a controller. you can really do some wild stuff with it, especially on the steam deck, or on other controllers with touch pads and/or underside buttons.
