ah, the three genres. personally i’ll always recommend dragon quest 11 bc it’s just straight up one of my fav games ever, but it isn’t really in any of those genres. it’s more like a chill saturday morning cartoon with really old school (but not in a bad way) jrpg elements. probably haven’t enjoyed a jrpg in like 20 years and then dq11 came along and knocked me on my ass

I played dq11 right after the pandemic started and it was great. maybe I should just play other tim rogers games. can I become insufferable about tokimeki memorial
