death stranding really is such a special little game. so often i go out of my way to build something i’ll never ever use just in the hope other ppl will. i wish strand games were a real thing bc i want to play more games where my ‘selfish’ actions positively effect other ppl’s experience. the closest, really, is a soulslike but those are still a distant cousin to the structures/likes of death stranding

Ah, like a single player Foxhole where your work nevertheless would impact other players.
something something the inherent kindness in a game that's not a zero-sum system, but a cooperative one. not by being friends or knowing the people you're helping, but out of it being built-in in the gameplay.
