one of the most noticeable differences between elden ring and ds3 is the enemy attacks. every single enemy in ds3 attacks hard and fast, imo it’s the thing that makes ds3 so unbearably tedious. but enemies in elden ring all attack in weird unique rhythms, from the most basic undead to the hardest bosses. i think that’s a big reason why it’s so engaging to play, you never get locked into a (tedious, grating) rhythm, you constantly change how you engage with enemies no matter how hard or easy they are
