it’s kinda wild comparing the intro cinematic of demons souls to elden ring. demons souls is half slow motion action cool guy doing Sick Kills, and elden ring is a weird lowkey powerpoint presentation of artistic interpretations of in-universe historical events (and a goth girl fucking a corpse). i think it’s awesome fromsoft got more weird with their popularity instead of the other way around. i think in any other franchise you’d expect the newer release to have the more ‘mainstream’ slow motion action intro instead of weird esoteric ramblings.

no idea if this controversial or not but elden beast is the best final boss in a souls game and imo it’s not even close
