every time I learn somebody on this website other than me is from the uk I get jumpscared
Wait yours got delivered with just the carry case in a plastic bag?
Mine came in a pretty nice box
nah it came in a plain cardboard box with some print on the inside but I wasn’t posting that because it had my address on it lmao
Without having a Steam Deck of my own to try it out (but having sunk lots of time into it on Playstation, so I know it'll work with a controller layout): Hitman: World of Assassination. Great game with lots of replayability, easy to waste time with playing seriously or just dicking around.
oh good shout it’s been a while since I hit men, hopefully it’s not too chunky to run ok on a steamdeck
PC ports of any game from the 360/PS3 era, emulation of just about anything from anything prior to that -- then, for specific games, I've been loving stage/run-based games like Bloons TD6 and Hot Wheels Unleashed. Play them with your head sunk into a stack of comfy pillows, they're incredible
The Steam Deck's a real game-changer, welcome to it <3
emulation I am interested in for sure, but I’ve that emudeck is kind of a ballache to get working and also without a computer I don’t know how I’d get stuff on it lmao
i like beacon and hardspace shipbreaker (on more intense games if it gets super laggy out of nowhere just give it a nap) tbh we don't really do shooters with controller. emulating is real easy too (we got pmd:eos working almost the same week we got it) hifi rush runs perfectly and is excellent for deck
I played beacon from its early access builds on itchio and I was always stuck with weird performance and control issues
hardspace might be worth a look again along with hifi rush, I fell off both those pretty fast for whatever reason
the reviews seem a bit iffy on it and it’s unknown what the steamdeck compatibility is like but also it’s only a tenner and it seems like my kind of thing so I’ll have to keep an eye on it I think
it's not a fantastic game but I think it's interesting enough to be worth trying. if steamdeck supports PS3 emulation well enough it'd be easier and cheaper to play that way probably.
I’m not generally a traditional rpg fan but I have seen that one around and the idea seems neat
yeah! it's really fun, there's no actual battles so you don't need to worry about combat
oh well if there’s no turn based combat that immediately makes it more interesting lmao
Ender Lilies. Nine Sols. Balatro
honestly if you need a good list of options ask @Proxy, the sheer number of games she's played on that thing, she'll have good reccs
blatro was the first game I put on it and I’ve had my eye on nine sols for a while
ender lilies I’m a bit more on the fence about down to it being tagged a souls like and I typically bounce off those but it looks interesting
