Today's Worldwide Music Wednesday comes from Indigo, a Peruvian dreampop band signed to Lima-based A Tutiplén Records (home to another synth favorite, Las Amigas de Nadie and going 20+ years strong.

There is so much landfill dreampop out there, so much that falls short of what's possible: a kind of colossal, annihilating perfection that makes everything else sound foggy and listless. (A recent-ish example: School of Seven Bells' Ablaze. "Un Día Más" comes pretty close. That one synth at the beginning is like a frisson, or -- befitting the album's title, Mar -- like the foam atop waves just before they crest.
