in reply to @renkotsuban's post:

jesus christ, some people have way too much time on their hands.
when someone feels oppressed or points out something that feels wrong, it is not up to them to give a detailed step by step improvement plane for the world to follow. the burden of proof doesn't lie in the person ranting for fuck's sake.

it's your own job, when challenged on an idea, to look into it, people who are already overly tired from all the bullshit shouldn't be expected to give you all the answers on a silver platter. do some introspection, let people breath.

and when someone puts their feelings into a word, criticizing the merits of the word chosen seems really dumb too ^^

Turns out that I had that one blocked already, and I went to look at the note I'd made for why: "Reacting to other people's real world experiences with a level of abstraction that feels frankly arrogant and dehumanising." Anyway, sorry you ran into them too.

yeah i scrolled down their profile and like the third post was casually calling Palestine a colonial country that shouldn't complain about Israel??? Not talking about subjects you don't understand is free.

I have the feeling that something like that will have prompted my own note and block, because that specific take sounds familiar. Anyway, safe to say there's a pattern there.

The sidebar in their profile, since I've just looked at it again, about the trolley problem, where they make no mention of the violent deaths of others - which is usually what makes it a "dilemma" for most people, who feel some aversion to causing pain, suffering, death to others - and they make it all about sacrificing their own innocence instead... That's pretty telling too.

If I recall correctly, this is the person I blocked when she came over from Tumblr in the hammercar wave because she basically said "how dare you chosters criticize us tumblrers for being toxic, without us this site was lifeless and had no sense of humor" (demonstrably untrue). Imagine not just trying to colonize a website but also just barefacedly admitting it. Anyway, I went to check to see how exact the wording was (and if it indeed was the same person) and that's how I found out she'd been banned ☺️

I kind of wish I'd reported her back then because it sounds like she's done a lot of harm since, but I guess I didn't have any faith that they would do anything about it. Glad they did, sorry she hurt so many people in the process.

(Also, imagine the caucasity of describing a point as "rambly" and then writing…that)

Isn't that the same person who made an equal-length ramble about how there's "no such thing as white culture, ackshually", and we should be looking at it from a basically nation-by-nation perspective ackshually

They sure are saying a lot of words and I sure wish there was a single expression to capture the long tired exhausted look and sigh this induced

Oh christ, this is the same person who came into my comments and spent hours arguing that any sort of spiritual beliefs was some sign of intellectual inferiority, and had the most buckwild map of "the borders that the world should go back to" covered in just the worst understanding of pre-colonial native peoples on...basically every continent pinned to their page for a while. They are absolutely unhinged.
