you, yes YOU should go download the incredible Link's Awakening PC port before it mysteriously disappears
I'm glad one fan project finally took the approach of "dump it on the internet when it's finished" instead of the traditional "announce it 8 months in advance and act shocked when you get a C&D"
Normally I kinda roll my eyes at "get this new emulator/decomp port before nintendo's legal ninjas pay OP a visit" because like, Nintendo themselves lost that fight decades ago, as did Sony and IBM.
But this one? Yeah no this one's not long for this world considering all the assets and branding is just right there. Not even sure if it is a decomp port but it's cool nonetheless.

I think the first thing that tipped me off that this wasn't a decomp port is "where's the million and one options for every single minute thing? why can't I turn the extra features off?"
That said, playing the game while you can see the entire overworld is kind of a neat experience. It's like, cute, you're playing a diorama of the game almost.
I hope this doesnโt disappear before I get home cos I got way too much to do

thankfully they packaged the source in with everything else as well, thank god for that.

Genuinely Mad that it got taken down during the time it took me to get back on my computer
