and the rom file is only 177K! It's honestly no fair how good this bass sounds for how much i reduced the sample rate. maxmod for GBA seems upset by sounds longer than 65535 audio samples long so I had to really crunch it down to get it to fit that without like, rewriting the bass part to accommodate it being split up instead. but it sounds great! But yeah this is a direct line-out recording from my nintendo DS, running off a GBA flashcart.
Got another one almost working too but that one has some weird bugs i need to work out in some sections (and i already had to fix a bug in maxmod code to get both of these to work too lol)
