Wait, no, your entymology of this is all wrong. As a Hollow-Knight-like, the "castle" part is a reference to the very type of edifice that a knight protects.
we're just never, ever going to hear the word "Castlevania" in anything other than the voice of the count from the intro theme song to Captain N.
yes, it makes the entire series seem very silly. yes, that's just how it is :D
