glasses are cool. this prescription jump is literally the first time ive seen this well in my entire life, though it's also the first time I got an eye exam knowing of the gigantism, and the first eye exam where I've been confident in telling the optometrist about specific clarity issues, and so it's therefore also the first time an optometrist has taken extra steps in checking my eyes for pressure-related distortion and nerve damage.
surprisingly, no nerve damage, but noticeable pressure-related distortion from uneven skull overgrowth, which i didnt think would be as big of a note as it seems to have been. the best my vision has ever been aided before was maybe a tenth as clear as my vision is right now, and i just jumped from having difficulty reading 16pt text on my 27" 4k monitor 2 feet away with glasses on to having just read the light-grey-on-white small-letter front labelling on a power bar taped into a dark corner next to my desk, about 4 or 5 feet away. it says "protected", btw.
this is the first time my vision is successfully-aided since i started looking at visual art
