Reading it in cyrillic feels more "natural" to me as a learner, honestly. Breaking some of the digraphs into a cyrillic character that matches, makes it easier for me to read it, because I'm not missing things like "cx", "jx", "sx" and trying to read an English "X" in there. And not being written in Latin script, I can more readily see the pronunciation of the letters as they are, and not inferring things that don't exist in Esperanto out of English.

nice, I need to note this tool has a couple huge flaws though.

  1. the transliteration reference I used had a number of latin characters where it should've had (nearly-identical-in-appearance) cyrillic caracters. this doesn't often matter, but for some fonts it makes the text appear extremely odd, and in some more transformative fonts it just completely ruins the render intent.

  2. this isn't the only cyrillic transliteration set for esperanto, it's just a "common set" from omniglot, so this tool just covers the set most well-known-about by people who aren't going to be the target readers

  3. these two issues could be fixed by making it an actual competent and more arbitrary tool, instead of a quick multiReplace() thing with hardcoded dictionary that was written to 56 lines of actual code as a really, really weird in-joke referencing a friend deciding to find something funny one day
