you know, I've had issues with intermediate deafness since i was a teenager, but now that I seem to have um. raked one of my ear drums out. i should probably relearn all of the signs i learned as a kid and seem to partially remember? i mean i can still hear from that ear rn it's just very muffled and wind is EXTREMELY loud and it's been like that for a few days more than inspires confidence that it'll fully heal.

clarifying: i can often get the gist of people signing locally, it's just i haven't actually known anyone in years who prefers to sign so it's like speaking french at a spaniard. and just like that spaniard i cannot speak french back to you
