played through to the first area boss! its fun! the theatre aesthetic is good and they do more with it than i wouldve thought. i like the power-up transformation scenes especially where the set fades away and ur just on an empty stage, its so cool and exciting and looks gorgeous. the costume gimmicks so far play pretty well. the patissier mini games r a little grating so far, but mostly just bc of the way the collectible system works. the game feels built in such a way that levels r pretty short and u can go back and replay them for the collectibles relatively easily, but the amount of loading, unskippable dialogue, and cutscene that happens even on replays of levels makes it feel like a real chore to do most of the time! which sucks bc this is the kind of game id rly like to 100%. when im in some kind of runner sequence and just miss one its rly disheartening knowing ill have to start the whole thing over. also its gotten a little framey at times, mostly just at loading screens. might b on my end though my switch was having some weird issues before i started playing. oh and theres been some cool music so far. im excited to play more!!

the first detective level was very good. if they stay that good consistently itll definitely b the highlight of this game. its a series of extremely simple puzzles, but executed with enough style and charm that i didnt mind at all. felt like all the parts of this game i like so far concentrated into one level. after playing it i went “if THIS was good, then the dashing thief level has got to be even better” and then it was probably the worst level in the game so far, so…. never meet ur heroes i guess
