every year there’s a big corporate site in NYC that 99% of the NYC jammers go to because they have like jacuzzis and a dog park and a charcuterie fountain, which we won’t have, but we WILL have moxie*, and you can challenge me to a duel if you would like

Fun fact about the Microsoft NYC GGJ site (which is at least one of the Big Corporate Sites), at least pre-pandemic the only food we served was Domino's because the MS events team has an exclusive deal with Domino's to cater all meetups in their event spaces. I have been one of many MS employees trying to push back against this as frankly embarrassing in NYC.
(also, our jam site sucks because Playcrafting sucks and has a history of e.g. platforming GGers and other bad shit, but that's drama for another day)
