The remix of the Amami Shimauta「YOISURA-BUSHI」 by MEITEI, an artist whose music is a fusion of electronic, ambient, hip-hop, and experimental music that has attracted worldwide attention, is truly a fusion of Amami's ancient traditions and the latest music. The music video, created by the genius video director, Kento Takahashi, is a collage of actual photos of Amami's ancient history, perfectly synchronized with the music, and is both humorous and stimulating, leaving afterimages in the brain. There’s some fun tracks on this album, but I like this closing remix a lot, and the video is for me a really lovely example of a simple form of procedural art. That jellyfish? That jellyfish is so fucking cool.
