hey matthew what's the deal with those little stretchy envelopes you used to mail zines in?
you see these under a few different names sometimes, but i know them as poly mailers! (poly as in, i assume, polyamorous.)
i currently have a stack of these ones, but they come in all kinds of colors and sizes, and if you want to get fancy there are lots of places that do custom printed ones.
the 6”x9” ones are perfect for 5.5”x8.5” zines (mine are that format), and can generally fit a few before you need to switch to a box. if there’s room i also have a stack of 5.5”x8.5” cardboard inserts so they stay neat in the post.
i don’t see the mailers on the other side of the shipping process, but i haven’t gotten any complaints, so i assume they hold up pretty well! for heavier duty or more delicate stuff these also exist with bubble wrap (“bubble mailers”)
