opus magnum is ostensibly a "programming game"; i can't argue with this.
i was trying to figure out how to sequence this because the salt creator works on the assumption that it starts empty, but it's still holding salt at the beginning of the second iteration so it breaks the machine. i stared at it for a bit, then just added this big arm that whisks the leftover salt away. it works exactly six times. if you run it any longer it breaks, but six times clears the puzzle. memory leak is intended feature. works on my machine. WONTFIX
if this hadn't worked, i'd have added another star that takes the salt off the first star. by chaining stars we can simply never solve any problems and win anyway
You think I want to "talk to computer" in my off time? When I'm not being held at gunpoint by Mr. Capitalism?? Think again, chump! That's what Minecraft is for.
