One wants to do 12-hour coding sessions without breaks.
The other wants nothing to do with anything that isn't actively on fire.

I do UI programming for AAA games and I have opinions about adult games

These situations feel all too familiar.. who let you peer inside my conscious mind like that?
I need to send an email.
stares blankly at a pdf for an hour while my mind goes blank
Oh, I still need to send that email.
apparently setting the font to comic sans help you write a lot more because how can you do wrong typing stuff in comic sans? You're just goofing around.
But yeah, I know the feeling. Early in my career, I spend a full week not being able to write a single line of code. Huge fear/paralysis/whatever. All I could do is stare at my screen, feel bad about not writing code and getting anxiety at not doing any progress when I somehow got the task of implementing "accepting payment". Two weeks before the big public presentation.
We ended up with everything working at like 11pm the night before the presentation and nobody was interested in our product.
Speaking as someone who's used it for years, it's also largely bc the font is hyperlegible, so your brain isn't doing as much work to parse what you're reading.
Can be helpful if yur brain's broken like mine and gets hung up in the processing part more than anything.
:( me all the time every day
sometimes even for things I enjoy
I like this comic (lots!) just not my relation to the behavior featured within
