I don't know that I'd call "mechanical complexity that has been filed down to such a smooth surface as to be nearly frictionless" to be a PARTICULARLY compelling rebuttal to my thesis, but I'm glad you found a game you enjoy
the key notion here is that "nearly frictionless" is not frictionless; there is a correct amount of friction from which special things are made
