I'm spending my Saturday morning figuring out how to reduce the ridiculous cost of hosting my wife and I are paying collectively to have a presence on The Internet. Between the two of us, we have uhh... six (!) domain names and pay for hosting for four (!!) of them.
And if we were richer, I would have said fuck it, let's just keep paying for 'em. But hosting costs have gone up 50% in the past year alone, and now we're paying ~€50/month for all this Internet website nonsense. Keep in mind that none of these websites have a lot of traffic, so we're paying through the nose for unnecessary hosting.
And that's why I'm dusting off FileZilla to make backups of everything and trying to consolidate into one, maybe two, instead of doing something fun like playing a vidyagaem.
