Tried out Close to the Sun this morning (it was free on Epic Games Store at one point), and unfortunately, it's very much "what if Bioshock had no guns or magic powers". You're playing as Ada Lovelace's sister Rose, who received a cryptic letter from her sister to come save her from Helios, a big ship full of big-name scientists that is under quarantine in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. And yes, it has Nikola Tesla cosplaying as Andrew Ryan. So what do you on the ship if you're not shooting splicers? Read diaries, listen to people complain on the radio, and solve pretty basic puzzles. With the occasional light flickering and jump scare.

It is very pretty if you're into that whole art-deco vibe, but the environment and the dialog are full of weird anachronisms, like Rose calling things "cute," and her sister being the lead scientist on the project that doomed everyone on the ship.

After playing for 1h 16m, I can't really recommend it.
