I'm playing a lot of Anthem these days. Firstly because I'm employed to work on a Game-as-a-Service (GaaS) game, and secondly because Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is already kind of a mess. So I picked up the failed live service game Anthem again, five years after I last played it, to see if I missed anything the first time.
Commentor @DreamerHyena was right: The story really takes a nosedive at the end there. The final fight with the Big Bad was very underwhelming, just a bullet sponge slogfest in three phases. And the implication after the credits is that you leave the world exactly as it was before, because now there's a nebulous New Threat that means you have to log in daily and do all your quests.
It's astonishing that the servers are still up for this game. Play it before you can't anymore.
