For this last day of Autism Acceptance Month, I might as well go out and say it: I'm autistic, and my Special Interest is American Politics. Has been ever since Obama's election in 2008.
On the one hand, this is quite a convenient Special Interest. Lots of people are interested in politics, and it makes one seem practically neurotypical to be able to talk about it at length.
On the other hand, I'm Dutch, and I live in Dutchland.
