this was a joke, obviously, but it does give me a pang of like, human sorrow when i see someone opt out of the chance for even the lowest-scale authorship over their experience. like, i played a bit of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 recently, and there were just so many people who, when given the opportunity to make their own dragon ball guy, just made goku and named him "Goku."
