unfortunately the only wisdom i can share with you is that you just have to be very passionate about the things you want to draw. i love my ocs a lot and i want to see more art of them but the only way i can do that is by drawing said art myself. same goes for nsfw. if i have a very specific scenario in mind no one but me is going to make it real exactly the way i want it. so it kind of becomes an ultimatum of either you draw it and it exists or you don't draw it and it doesn't exist. and i really want it to exist so i sit down and draw it

#inbox#of course i also have bad art days when i just cant draw anything even if i try#when that happens i just do something else that isnt drawing. stressing about it will not help you#its important to let your creative energy recharge. you can do that by engaging with other works of art or admiring the beauty of the world around you#watch or read or listen to something thought provoking. go to an art museum. look at some bugs. fill your heart with wonder and the creative spirit will find you#in terms of less romantical advice i would suggest trying switching mediums. or rethinking your entire drawing process#if youre having a hard time doing sketches then dont do them. paint with blobs of color instead. if you dont like sketching because youre dreading the lineart stage dont do lineart. dont do color if you dont like color. or try lasso tool instead of painting#just fuck around. make it fun. your process can be anything you want it to be. it doesnt have to suck#the only rule of art is to have fun and be yourself. everything else doesnt matter
