i have a tendency to react really violently to being tickled even if i'm ready for it. it's actually kind of distressing, i've kicked people across the room before. from my perspective it's a completely involuntary response. i've tried to look it up before but people seem to think someone would only respond like this to being tickled non-consensually, which is also distressing
as an aside, i have a friend who works in neuroscience who got to work with the scientist who invented tickling rats. she says he was a really cool dude
