Anonymous User asked:

If you could put a lighthouse anywhere, or on anything, where would it delight you most to put one?

But congratulations. Okay so first up if I could place a lighthouse somewhere it would be a hyperboloid tower, a type of lighthouse briefly popular in the Soviet Union due to its ability to resist strong winds, its relatively low construction cost, its ability to be constructed relatively easily in distant locations, and, I assume, its utterly superb aesthetics. Said Ideal Light would use a slightly anachronistic arc-light with fresnel lens, for that perfect lighthouse aesthetic. As for location and place, i would have to say on either East Island or the southern point of Ross Island in the Williamette, because I feel that urban/downtown Portland is utterly lacking charming little lighthouses. We already have antiquated (and, if I may say, fucking AWESOME) bridges, I think we need a lighthouse to complete the charm.
