For context: this is a relocation program for remote workers that WV set up recently. The panhandle would be ideal for me location-wise and there's all manner of wild spaces for me to stomp around in looking for photogenic fungus friends, so the possibility of also being granted 12k over two years to move there? Perfection.
I just, uh, hope I didn't put anyone off in my application by gushing over the mycological possibilities. A lot of the questions were centered around your outdoor hobbies and I wanted to be authentically me. I know there's still unfortunately a lot of folks that see anything mushroomy as immediately analogous to Doing The Drugstm...
I mean, I used to live in the region, but I wasn't the weirdo mycophile I am today when I was a wee babby
Got an acknowledgement back on my application. It took a few days so I'm guessing someone is manually checking these over instead of an algorithm. Hopefully it doesn't take months for them to make a call.
