At the family home for a few days and they somehow dug out my grandpa’s old Dobsonian telescope. I could swear they got rid of this guy, well, DECADES ago! Seems like it’s taken some dings over the years of being buried in a shed, but looks like it’s in pretty good condition otherwise.
It’s already got a new home lined up, but it’s nice to see it again. Watching Hale-Bopp through this thing really sparked my love of all things space.
