So glad I finally got a chance to play through Ghostwire: Tokyo. I had started it initially as just a spooky game for the Halloween season, not expecting such a full and engaging exploration of grief and loss. It's central to everything. The ghosts and monsters of the world, of course, but also in the motivations of our heroes, the villain, and the everyday individuals you run into along the way.
It doesn't hurt at all that the combat and movement are both satisfying with a surprising emphasis on verticality. Highly recommend that the glide and tengu upgrades would be the first anyone takes, just for the extra mobility assistance. They aren't overly in-depth as mechanics go, but there's enough of a sense of weight that it felt nice.
Full completion definitely isn't required, but it's well worth at least playing through!
