sorely tempted to make a Dark Souls mod that changes every instance of "Great" in weapon names to "Okay". Okaysword. Okayaxe. Okaylance.

The "Ultra Greatsword" weapon class will, of course, be renamed "Great Okaysword"

today was one of those days where simultaneously everything went wrong AND everything went right. Despite (and because of) construction impacting all the buses, and missing a connection for an hourly one, I initially waved off from my primary viewing spot.

I then decided I was up for biking the whole distance from where I missed my connection, but that I'd do so in a way that ran moo past a fallback spot, so I could evaluate from there.

the angle at the fallback spot was damn near perfect so I waved off primary for good. turned out that was for the best, the road I needed to take to get there from the fallback spot was closed for road work!

in more "task failed successfully," both buses to get me back were exactly late in just the right way to sync up so I could make my connection.

now I'm just vibing at the museum while they're closing down for the evening, touching up these photos.

I love Delta. I got to really hang out with Wayward (my departed roommate) for the first time because of Delta. it's probably my favorite EELV but don't tell Atlas. And that's it. that was the last one. into the clouds forevermore.

planning on starting making my own gaiwan after my next shift at the ceramics studio so i can be cool* does anyone have Things About Gaiwans they like to see. I feel like they're deceptively simple but I'm also not well versed enough in teaware to be able to isolate the certain parts that make it feel 'good' if that makes sense. i AM planning on giving it little filter holes though because i love myself

im a guy who sucks and a ton of shit happened pretty much immediately after posting this but. i finally carved out some time / had like two hours to kill so I made a little pinch pot 'gaiwan' after my shift. he does not look Extremely Nice but i consider this a good step in the right direction cuz I wasn't able to throw on the wheel today.

i call it my 'tea pog'. the working theory is that his nose/snout & the general Shape of it will let me filter out leaves nicely based on how it felt while making it but I think everything will be more evident after it's full of hot water lol. (it's also probably way too thick but fuck it we ball. i have Strong Hands)

hes so fucking stupid i love him so much. just barely squeezed him into the gas kiln that we do basically like once every two years lol

Tried to get an update on this today... Apparently I'm a bit of a hot button issue over in the ol HR department currently. "Back to Office" is the drumbeat from corporate, but that doesn't jive with me moving back to the middle of nowhere. I've already decided I'm moving, so it's up to them if they want to retain 16 years of domain knowledge or if some middle management yearning to hold meetings in person is more important.

I currently have three layers of management above me trying to push for this for me, including my boss's boss's boss who doesn't even live in the country. I'm incredibly grateful for that. But holy shit it shouldn't have to be this hard of a fight.
