i realized my childhood was over the minute i went to a swapmeet and it hit me that i'd never be able to pick up an old video game for less than 40 bux ever again probably n i'm still dealing w the aftermath-
it was like 2021 and i was talking to my gf abt how i stopped seeing sellers tht just happened to have some game boy/ds/ps2 games amongst all their other wares, the only ppl tht had old games usually had enough of em to have entire stands covering tables and business cards talking abt their physical store locations. all the hot, in-demand games r up front and center so you'll get curious and ask em just to leave knowing tht the world has gone in such a direction where disc-only beat up copies of kirby airride can go for $80 and there isn't jack dick you can do about it . made me rly sad in a way i can't express without up and just writing an essay about it
Sending psychic pain waves to people who overprice retro games and hoping the market will crash
