Except that at the start of the interview he says:

which definitely tracks with all the Araki stuff I've seen but also is NOT my personal experience, Gregg how many gay people have you met who aren't from the beach? Are there any fat people in your movies/TV who are allowed to be hot? Be characters in their own right?
Obviously this isn't just an Araki problem it's an OUR ENTIRE POP CULTURE LANDSCAPE problem, that fat people (and fat GUYS in particular) don't get to be sexy or exciting. We have, what, Harvey Guillén? and he's AMAZING but he can't carry all of us!
