Actually used quite a few engines
For my first game that I made for a school German project was adventure game studio and I want to make something else in that program but I never really did then I went to unity I used it for a couple years but I I do not recommend it. Then for a while I used click team fusion But the programming in that one is you have to wrap your head around it... RPG Maker MV I'd say I've also got a lot of use out of...I've used plenty of small tools like adam ledoux's bitsy and candle's bipsi and tape window , highly recommend that engine if you want to make a silver case type visual novel. I've also done some things in scratch mit edu some years back. I used a Godot for a while but then I just kind of dropped off on it due to a long-winded story about one of the higher up developers of the project and now I am back to using it again for my mouse game project... What will the future entail I'm not sure.... May have missed some engines here or there ... That's what happens when you make games for like 9 to 10 years
