always loved to hear such a good-faith argument as "queer is a slur" and that's why I refuse to say the word gay as well
When I was younger in the 80s, "gay" was the go-to all-purpose insult. "Queer" was used by queer studies professors writing in academic journals.
yup. saying queer is a slur is the ultimate giveaway that you were in school either in the 70s or the 2010s
